Clove. Clove reminds me of the holidays. It reminds me of yummy treats, snow flakes, hot chocolate, sledding or snowboarding, crisp air, a second chance at a new year, hopes and dreams, fireplaces, warm conversations, good company, smiles and rosy cheeks, love and joy. Everything the Thanksgiving to Christmas season ought to be. It's fresh and invigorating. It's not sweet, so it smells appropriate for any occasion. It's definitely gender neutral, as well. I just love the scent.

Hmm… My holiday smells are spearmint and sweet orange, and the smell of Christmas trees! The years that we didn't have a real tree, I vividly remember my mom using a Christmas tree air freshener to "scent" the fake tree! XD

Balsam/Pine takes me straight to Christmas Tree. Pumpkin is an essential fall scent however I don't like a ton of cinnamon - and it's everywhere and it's strong! I like my pumpkin with a lot of vanilla!! I love the scent of Autumn - crunchy leaves and ozone. The past year or so I've been on a Patch kick and it's not for everyone, but I mix and layer it with everything. Even Pink Sugar. How about a Pink Sugar meets Pumpkin Pie? Mmmm!!

Kim Sharp said..Thank you for the "Holiday Giveaway". Everyday and all year through, I associate "Pink Sweets" with the holidays. I love candy at Christmas and love smelling sweet. My other choice would have to be Orange Pomegranate, yummy! Another great scent would be "Apple Pie A La Mode". Sounds good right now.

Holidays for me are fresh baked cookies, and that real christmas tree smell. When I was little my mom had her own business and made Christmas wreaths and I loved to sit in the backroom and inhale the scent. When I get a place of my own again I want to get a small real tree (one that I can set up where the cats won't chew it up) :)

I like foody scents in winter and especially around christmas, when we are baking cookies and everything smells so nice. Also, there are no bees or wasps anymore, so I can dig out all my foody scents, all those sugary cookie scents and indulge in them. I don't dare wearing them in Summer ^^

Pine is also good, I used to have a pine scented aroma oil for my aroma lamp.

There isn't ONE scent that reminds me of Christmas but a ton of them melded into one, from the ham to the egg nog! However there is something quite comforting about the pine from the Christmas tree that sets it apart from the other scents!
