Mountainsmith Clear Creek 20 Backpack Review

Mountainsmith Clear Creek 20 Backpack Review

My little 13L backpack had seen better days and it was time for an upgrade. After much searching and checking of reviews, I ordered in this Mountainsmith backpack. I liked that it was bigger (20L) and had a nice big pouch for my 3L water bladder and a hydration port. I really needed a nice, sturdy, but not too tight, chest strap and waist strap for better pack stability and balance. My shoulders were really taking a beating without it. I took it for a 7 mile trial run and love it so much. It is plenty roomy and when I did some trail sprints, the back hardly bounced or jostled at all and stayed tight to my back. The chest strap did the trick for alleviating the shoulder stress. Love this pack, I see it being my companion for many years on my mountain climbing and traveling adventures.

It also makes a great travel buddy, I bring it on all my trips. All my gadgets and traveling essentials fit perfectly and it's comfortable to wear around all the airports, even doubling as a pillow during one very long, overnight layover in O'Hare.
